A Day on Whidbey Island

On our way to Whidbey Island. We rode the ferry and pretty much had enough time to get out of our van, take a pic, and we were there!

It was such a pretty day! This beach was really windy but the kids were loving it.

I have never really seen such big green trees next to the Ocean, it was really pretty.

Baby Brig has peanut butter smothered all over his blue jeans, we introduced him to a whole pbj sandwich and let him go to town. He is now a fan of pbj's.

These two will be buddies forever.

It is so hard to get Simon to stop running long enough to take a picture, so I tried with him in running action!

Emmy girl usually never stops either!

Baby Brig looks pretty cute hanging out in front of this really old Light House.

Jamie was a trooper coming along with us for a day, even with a cute lil' babe in her belly.

Our family minus Beetle and Simon, they were inside reading all the historical facts on the light house, kind of wish I would have done the same since I can't say much about this light house besides it's really old and neat looking.

Our kids love to climb trees.

This fort was Awesome but too many steep drops for my comfort, Suy Guy is a wild card, he just runs to his heart's content without a worry in the world. I'm pretty sure he even had Beetle's heart pounding a bit faster than normal a few times.

                                                               Do you spy Emmy?

Deception Pass, this was a drive to get to, but it was really pretty!

American Girl-Seattle

We were lucky enough to be in Seattle on Syd's birthday week. Aunt Jamie treated us to a very fun dinner at the American Girl Restaurant to celebrate Sydney's Birthday.

It was so cute! The greatest is when the waitress came by and tucked "Megan's" hair behind her ear. Gotta look nice for our dinner! I would have LOVED this place when I was Anna's age.  Annabelle was loving it too!

Our waitress led the entire restaurant in a birthday song for Sydney. She was so cute, her embarrassed face was Awesome! Sydney is such a sweet girl, and a loyal friend to Annabelle, plus she has her Momma's great smile with the best dimple!

Thank goodness I have Annabelle so we can have our "Girls Night Out"!

We stopped at a really yummy yogurt joint after dinner. If you ever have a chance to try cinnamon roll yogurt smothered in NERDS, sour gummy worms, mini gummy bears and juicy balls, topped off with a dabble of Raspberry sherbet.....DO IT, you won't regret it!

Thanks again Jamie and Syd, for such a fun night out!

Spring Break Seattle Style

The day after Easter we decided to take our summer vacation a few months early and drive to Seattle for Spring Break. I called my sister Jamie to make sure she was okay about our fam of 7 bombarding her brand new home, I don't think she realized what she was in for when she said YES! COME!
We left Monday night at 7:30pm planning on to stay at a hotel somewhere in Idaho but when our kids were fast asleep we thought why wake them up? So...we drove all night! Jamie called me at 9:00am Tuesday morning and I sang "We drove all niggggggghhhhhttt to get to you!" One of my favorite songs sang by Cindy Lauper and Celine Dion (I sang the Celine Dion version). She didn't believe me... but we showed up on her door step at 10:00am.  We were pretty tired but the excitement made up for it.

These guys were troopers. The only one that had a pretty hard time was Simon. "I wanna get out!" was shouted countless times. That's understandable when your buckled in a car seat for 28 hrs round trip. Just so you know, Annabelle was wearing her seat belt. Baby Brigham was amazing he didn't cry the whole way there or back.

We picked up Benson's new glasses on our way out to Seattle. Poor guy has his Momma's eyes. He has been squinting for about a month. We were glad we could pick up his glasses before the trip so he could enjoy seeing all the beautiful scenery in Washington!

I am pretty sure there was no one more excited to see us than the Tator-Tot. Just when you think his smile couldn't get any bigger....it does!

Snoquolmie Falls

This is me trying to figure out where Pikes Street was. We ended up in some sketchy allys down past the piers, I am sure we looked like we knew what we were doing leading our five children down streets where drugs were being dealt.

We found it! It only took us over an hour. The only think that motivated me to not give up on Pikes street was this famous gum wall. I am not a huge fan of large crowds when I am trying to keep track of five children, I am pretty sure Beetle still has sour feelings towards me for not letting him check out the rubber wallets.

Benson was really grossed out by the gum wall, he couldn't stop the Awesome facial expressions.

This is a park like five minutes away from Jamie's house. It was so Pretty! Washington has got to be one of the prettiest places I have ever been.

Annabelle was begging me to let her go get her swimming suit to swim in this Lake. She kept saying how it was way warmer than the Ocean.

We were surprised Max wanted to dip his feet in the water.

                                                                         until wet!
