18 Months

Can you believe this cute face is 18 months old today? In the past month he has turned in to another highly active Smart child. He never stops. He is definitely keeping us on our toes, and just in time for the new little bro. to arrive.

I love his little body. I went to his 18 month check up the other day and I heard the sentence that I have heard   numerous times before with my other boys check ups, "your boy has got a strong, stout little body." I was shocked when I saw his percentiles. I thought he was getting so tall, and I really didn't think his head was that large, and I for sure thought he would weigh more, he eats nonstop!

Length: 9.8%tile
Head Circumference: 98.28%tile
Weight: 55.47%tile

I blame the head circumference on his thick, luscious hair. Even though these %tiles are a bit out of proportion, I wouldn't change them.  He puts a smile on all our faces daily.

Fifteen Years Ago

Fifteen years ago today Beetle kissed me for the first time. Most people tell me it's weird that I remember the date of our first kiss but strangely I do remember dates and it was a three hour kissing session so it's a little hard to forget. It also took Beetle SEVEN months from the time we became "friends" to kiss me. We were driving home from Moab and luckily my parents still thought Beetle and I were still "friends" so they didn't think twice about what was going on in the back of my dad's truck (my Dad had a sweet carpet kit so there was a window separating us from them). Let's just say It was an awesome three hour drive home that involved a whole lot of swedish fish and kissing:)

I came home today from a Dr. appointment and found this on our table. I'm glad Beetle is also good at remembering important dates.

The Love of My Life

Wow: The love of my life. I'll have to admit I was a little jealous when her card to Beetle was more romantic than mine. Beetle better soak it up before her first boyfriend comes around.

Soldier Hollow

We went tubing with Regan's work at Soldier Hollow in Midway last weekend.

The kids had so much fun. Those hills don't look steep, but they were flying down them!

I think they were mostly happy to roll around and make angels in some good snow :)

*I also just wanted to update on Annabelle's room. The sheet rock is all up and the closet is in!

Project Annabelle's Room

Beetle has been in project heaven these days. Our home has three bedrooms. The laundry room is quite large and unfinished so we downsized the laundry room and Beetle is making a  fourth bedroom for Annabelle.

Beetle is cruising on this room, we are hoping to have it finished by the time little smart #5 comes. I say "we" but do you see those stools? That's where I like to hang out while Beetle works. It's pretty fun watching him because I have no idea where or when he learned how to do this kind of stuff. I always ask him and about 90% of the time he replies, "I Googled it".  He really is gifted when it comes to having the "know how" of doing projects and being creative, even if he does give most the credit to Google. I am so glad he does know how to do these projects and that he enjoys it. Every night he gets off work he is doing something to improve our home.

The Kitchen is our next project, well mainly the wall paper. I thought I would have it torn down the day we moved in. But my energy level isn't the greatest these days. This wall reminds me of my childhood, our bathroom had that same color of blue wallpaper. No wonder my Mom keeps telling me "I think you should leave it up, it's quite charming."
